Jean Noel Turcotte, 79, formerly of Summerfield, FL and long-time resident of Rhode Island passed away peacefully Friday, July 22, 2022. He was born in St. Georges, Quebec, Canada on December 6, 1942 and was the youngest of 13 children of the late Arthur Turcotte and Aurore Laura (Paquet) Turcotte. Before retiring in 2004 and spending most of his retirement years in Florida, he was a proud member of the Local Carpenter’s Union for over 40 years.

He relocated to the United States in 1964 to pursue opportunities in Construction and soon found himself in the Carpenter’s Union running large jobs. He spent most of his working years living in RI with his wife Reinette and 3 sons Jean Jr., Gille and Patrick. While he was building his career, he also enjoyed extra- curricular activities such as softball, camping, bowling, hockey and restoring houses. Later in life, during his retirement years, he maintained hobbies such as billiards, wood burning, playing cards or dice, sudoku puzzles and dressing up as Elvis at family parties or reunions. He will always be remembered as a hardworking, fun-loving prankster.

Jean was predeceased by his son Gille Turcotte in 2014. He is survived by his brother Julien Turcotte of Quebec City, Canada, his two sons: Jean Jr. and wife Tina Turcotte, Patrick and wife Melanie Turcotte, daughter in law Jennifer Turcotte, 6 grandchildren, Nicole, Stephan, Kristofer, Alexander, Alicia and Nathaniel Turcotte, and his partner Micheline Hammerschmidt of Summerfield, FL.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, July 30th from 4pm until 6pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI 02865. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Research.
